More Home Repairs

This weekend B.J. took out the carpet in our former office, soon to be baby's room, and to our surprise the hardwood floors look very good. We were going to put new carpet down if the floors needed completely refinished, we didn't want to deal with the work and mess of sanding, staining, etc. B.J.'s dad said that a good cleaning, light sanding, and a coat of poly is all we need. Plus we will need some additional molding which is fairly inexpensive. We will have to paint the walls, but are waiting to find out the gender of our baby. If it's a boy we will paint the walls blue, yellow if it's a girl. I can't wait!

B.J. Working.

The worst of the damage to the floor, which is not much at all.

Do you have to do anything to the doors? When my parents pulled the carpet there was a ~2 inch gap under each of the doors! D'OH!

Good the see BJ actually working for once!

My dad, the woodworker extraordinaire, will be making a new transition for us to take care of that.
